We hear all these reports of the Japanese government and bunch of American idiots popping KI pills already. It got me thinking…how exactly does a salt protect the body against alpha and beta particles ? It makes no sense to me…and I know stuff. But apparently not enough stuff.

My Aunt ( in another state ) , was “too tired” to go get her radiation treatment , of which she gets five per week . Is this going to offset her whole treatment ? She is also on chemo pills -with a slow growing cancer that is in both lungs and lymph nodes .

My girlfriend had to go the doctor today and take a radioactive iodine pill that will allow the doctors to scan her body for remnants of cancer she had removed last year.They told her she has to stay 3 feet away from people for a day.How does the “radiation” I guess transfer from person to person and what negative effects could it have on the person coming in contact with it.
