My Aunt ( in another state ) , was “too tired” to go get her radiation treatment , of which she gets five per week . Is this going to offset her whole treatment ? She is also on chemo pills -with a slow growing cancer that is in both lungs and lymph nodes .

My girlfriend had to go the doctor today and take a radioactive iodine pill that will allow the doctors to scan her body for remnants of cancer she had removed last year.They told her she has to stay 3 feet away from people for a day.How does the “radiation” I guess transfer from person to person and what negative effects could it have on the person coming in contact with it.

eva_hajj asked: a small dose was given to me to see how the outcome would be. they told me they didnt want to give me a large dose .Im a very petitie woman extremely and im also short ,anyhow ive never been over 87 pounds ever. before i went in to check my thyroid i was 84 pounds after 3 months of taking the iodine pill i have gained 7 pounds but i watch what i eat and how much i eat cause i want to balance my body as well not just gain and eat and eat and then not know if its the pill making me gain weight or the food and pill working together Do you beleive that its normal to be gaining only that amount in 3 months? I pray to god taht my thyroid has balanced itself and back to normal cause i dont want to have a underactive thyroid .Like i said before I eat what i want but just smaller portions and not all day like i did before the treatment.so now i weight almost 92 pounds i am 4’10ft. so i beleive for my height this weight is right .Can anyone give me their opinion?i was diagnosed with GD i4got.
